On Wednesday, it was 50's day for the St. John Eudes school. It was the 50th day of school on their 50th anniversary. The whole school went to the Grill Hall to see the Alley Cats. I enjoyed their music very much. The Alley Cats were also very funny. I enjoyed the songs from the 50's and early 60's. The Alley Cats were even invited to the white house by president Bill Clinton himself. It was really funny when one of the alley cats grabbed Mrs. Danowitz and started dancing with her. At recess, we all lined up in front of the table. Root beer float time! All of us grabbed a cup of root beer with a scoop of ice cream and started eating. They were very good. At lunch we had a birthday party for the kids with birthdays between August and December. There was delicious pizza and juicy grapes. I sat next to my best friend Daniel and we started to eat. In ELA class we wrote about life in the 1950s. I wrote about all the inventions made in the 50s. For instance, the credit card, solar cell, super glue, liquid paper, barbie doll, video tape recorder, bar code, pill, McDonald's, liquid paper, hula hoop, laser, microchip, and digital clock was invented in the 1950s. They made many great inventions in the 50s. I wonder what inventions we will make in the 2010s. Overall, 50s Day was a really fun day.
