Bridge to Terabithia is a very inspiring book to be what you are and not let anyone tell you otherwise. I enjoying this book a lot because, not only does it have a good storyline, well developed characters, and a good, inspiring theme, but it also has funny, relatable moments, like the time Jess goes to church with Leslie. Although it can be quite boring at times when we cannot relate to Jess or Leslie, it is still a humorous experience for all ages. The plot is well developed and progresses through the story in each chapter. It is fun to see the many adventures of Jess as he conquers his fears with the help of Leslie. I feel that the story and novel in a whole is so fun to read because the characters are relatable, funny, and are developed well. I personally believe that Katherine Patterson did an outstanding job with her novel and deserves all the awards she gets. I enjoyed the time that Jess and Leslie worked together to get revenge on Janice Avery by sending her a letter, pretending to be the boy she liked. When they were almost caught, Leslie humorously distracted the teacher by pretending that there was a bird nest and she wanted the teacher to inspect it. Although it is a good story with good characters, the book can be a little tedious with chapters that serve no purpose. The puppy has no purpose too but it is a cute character to add in which gives the two main characters a side kick to go on adventures with. http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/terabithia/
